We are pleased to award

$372.12 to

Kira Sikorski

Franklin Park School

This grant will significantly enhance the dance program by integrating cutting-edge technology into the classroom.

The primary objective of this project is to provide iPads for use in the Franklin Park School dance classroom, aligning with the New Jersey State Dance Standards. By incorporating iPads, teachers will be able to present visual and digital resources, support creative expression through various apps and tools, and enable students to record and analyze their movements. This technology will help meet several dance standards, including:

  • Generalizing and conceptualizing ideas

  • Organizing and developing ideas

  • Aesthetic education

  • Understanding historical and cultural contexts

By integrating iPads into the curriculum, we aim to foster creativity, critical thinking, and real-world applications in dance education.

The iPads will be used to:

  • Record class dances

  • Facilitate assessment and reflection

  • Build connections with families

  • Explore technology used in professional dance settings

This project will involve dance teachers, students, and administrators, creating an enriched learning environment that aligns with New Jersey’s dance standards. By integrating technology, we aim to promote lifelong learning, collaboration, and higher-level thinking, ultimately fostering a deeper appreciation for dance.

We are excited about the potential of this project to transform the dance education experience at Franklin Park School. With the support of this grant, we are confident that our students will thrive in a dynamic and innovative learning environment. Thank you for your continued support and commitment to enhancing education through technology.
