The FHS Muslim Heritage Month has successfully secured a groundbreaking grant of $300, igniting a wave of excitement and awareness about the invaluable contributions of Muslims to American history, society, and culture. This funding will be instrumental in acquiring essential teaching resources, transforming our school with captivating decorations, and organizing a variety of engaging activities and event materials. These initiatives are designed to seamlessly weave Muslim heritage into the academic curriculum, enriching students’ understanding across subjects such as History, Science, Math, English, and World Languages, while fostering a global perspective that extends beyond the classroom!


With this grant in hand, the FHS Muslim Heritage Month will come alive throughout the Franklin High School community, offering incredible benefits to both students and staff alike. Led by the passionate FHS History teacher Zakia Basha and a dedicated committee, a thrilling lineup of events and activities is already in the works for January 2025! This program not only aims to build on the state’s resolution promoting inclusivity and diversity but also aspires to create a lasting educational and cultural impact that resonates throughout our school for years to come. Join us in this exciting journey of discovery and celebration!
