Photography Club

We are pleased to award

$489.95

to

Kelley Masterson

Claremont Elementary School

We are thrilled to have awarded a grant of $489.95 for the morning Photography Club, aimed at fostering creativity, teamwork, and a love for the arts among students in grades 3-5.

This exciting project will provide digital cameras to 15 students, enabling them to explore their creativity and document their world through unique perspectives. Many of these students have limited access to technology, particularly in the arts. By equipping them with digital cameras, we empower them to engage with photography, enhancing their appreciation for visual art and developing essential skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, and communication.

The Photography Club will organize weekly sessions where students will learn various photography techniques and share their work. The project will culminate in a captivating photography exhibit at the school’s art show, showcasing the students' best work.

We anticipate several positive outcomes from this initiative, including the acquisition of practical photography skills, enhanced creativity, increased confidence, and strengthened community ties. This grant will enable our Photography Club to thrive, inspire a new generation of photographers, and provide students with valuable life skills.
